May 7, 2017, was a memorable and an ever cherishing day in the life of 37 little children of our parish. It was a long awaited day for them to receive Jesus Christ in the form of the Holy Eucharist. This meaningful celebration began with the Eucharistic Celebration at 9:30 a.m. Rev Fr Antony Shera, the Parish Priest was the main celebrant. Through his thought provoking homily he helped both children and parents to know the importance of Eucharist. Fr. Ashwin Cardoza, Fr. Roshan D’Cunha, Fr. Alwyn Serrao and other guest priests joined in the celebration.

The first communicants took an active role in the entire liturgy. Sr Claudia Pinto, Mrs. Jacinta D’Souza, and Mrs. Charlotte Mascarenhas prepared the first communicants very well.

After the Eucharist, all the children were presented with a Scapular, Rosary, a copy of New Testament and a Certificate as a Remembrance of their First Holy Communion Day. Then delicious breakfast was arranged.  The First Holy Communion was indeed a feast to the eye and a source of joy for the heart.
